Custom Lobbies & Modifiers

Custom Lobby Basics

Custom lobbies let friend groups configure runs outside standard matchmaking. v0.6.8 added seed support—groups can replay identical floor and entity sequences for practice. Seeded custom lobby runs explicitly do not grant money, information progression, or contribute to account meta per patch notes.

Use custom lobbies to rehearse Mannequin Mall strategies, Envy paper routes, or Sloth timer floors without burning ranked Daily attempts or standard-run consumables tied to progression goals.

Modifiers

Daily Mode modifiers like Surplus, Scarcity, and Preferred Customer also appear in daily competitive contexts. Custom lobbies may expose modifier combinations for casual experimentation—double consumables, shop upgrades, or scarcity challenges depending on host options available in current builds.

Preferred Customer starts runs with fully upgraded Dealer shop per daily modifier description—useful for testing shop-reliant builds.

Practice vs Progression

Separate mental models: custom seeded practice improves skill; standard runs fund items; Daily Mode proves rank. Do not confuse custom practice economy with lobby shop purchasing power.

Hosting Tips

Share seeds in Discord for community learning. Assign Mall watcher roles before starting boss seeds. Record successful Envy paper paths for teammates new to Floor 20.
