Categories consider task efficiency, entity safety, fear management, boss floor performance on Envy and Mannequins, and synergy potential within three-item limits. v0.6.8 rebalanced several item qualities; rankings reflect post-update power.
S-tier items excel in most scenarios with low skill floors. A-tier items dominate specific archetypes or depths. B-tier items are viable with synergy or player skill. C-tier items are situational or outclassed by shop alternatives. Tier placement shifts as Foxxive patches mechanics—verify patch notes after major updates.
S and A Tier Highlights
Task-highlighting gear like Lumberjack’s Cap and Tracker variants consistently accelerate clears and reduce time exposed to spawn zones—critical for Sloth avoidance and Daily Mode scoring. Mobility and stealth tools that reliably break aggro rank high for Envy and Mannequin floors.
Black Market exclusives enter rankings only after Floor 30 unlock. Items like Spectral Blindfold and Spirit Shackles offer advanced play but demand mechanical mastery before S-tier placement for average Delvers.
Context Matters
Solo tier order differs from five-player co-op where dedicated watchers cover Mannequins while taskers stack efficiency items. Daily forced loadouts may render tier lists irrelevant for a given day—adapt to seed modifiers like Surplus or Scarcity.
Badge-locked items such as Horns of Sloth reward dedication, not early purchase. Their tier reflects long-run value after acquisition, not acquisition ease.
