Daily Mode Guide

What Is Daily Mode

Daily Mode arrived in the v0.6.8 Daily Mode Mini-Update as a competitive alternative to standard runs. Every twenty-four hours at 00:00 GMT, a new global seed generates with fixed configuration: potential forced starter items, modifiers, entity pools, and floor layouts. Every Delver worldwide plays the same daily setup, but each player gets only one attempt per cycle.

The objective is to reach and clear Floor 20, which is always a random boss floor in Daily Mode. Your completion time and score determine a rank from 💀 through S+. Results post to a global leaderboard. A Discord bot in Foxxive’s Cozy Cabin announces new daily runs and top placements.

Loadouts and Modifiers

Daily seeds may impose full forced loadouts, partial restrictions, or unrestricted freedom. Forced items you do not own are auto-equipped if you have an open starter slot—partial ownership still lets you participate. Study the daily configuration before boarding; our Daily Score Reference tool summarizes scoring actions.

Modifiers reshape runs dramatically. Examples from patch notes include Surplus (double ground consumables), Scarcity (fewer consumables), and Preferred Customer (fully upgraded Dealer shop at start). Modifier combinations demand different routing—Surplus rewards thorough map clears while Scarcity punishes wasted consumables on early floors.

Scoring Strategy

Speed matters, but score bonuses reward efficient tasking, consumable collection timing, and bonus actions documented in our tools section. In Break Rooms, consumables only count toward score after pulling the lever, and the timer pauses until then—plan lever timing with your route.

Avoid deaths and unnecessary detours. One attempt means no practice within the same seed after failure. Watch experienced players on Discord leaderboards and study our Daily Mode Strategy video guide for route optimization patterns.

Daily vs Standard Runs

Daily Mode originally extended to Floor 30 before v0.6.8 shortened the objective to Floor 20 boss clears. Standard runs still push infinite depth with full progression and money earnings. Custom lobby seeded runs added in v0.6.8 let friends practice seeds without progression—distinct from Daily Mode’s ranked single attempt.

Use Daily Mode to benchmark skill under equal conditions. Use standard runs to unlock Black Market items, fill Bestiary entries, and farm money. Both modes share entity knowledge and reboarding fundamentals.
