How to Play – Beginner Guide

Welcome Delver

Depth Spelunking by Foxxive Studios drops you into an infinite underground facility as a Delver. Talk to John Depth Spelunking in the lobby for the written tutorial—the old video tutorial map was removed. Select three starter items from unlocked pool of forty-two, pack fifteen consumables, board elevator alone or with friends.

Each floor from the Atlas has tasks, entities from twenty-nine Bestiary entries, consumable pickups, and sixty-second reboarding after completion. Money buys permanent items between runs. No codes exist—badges and Bestiary grant special unlocks.

First Run Priorities

Floors 1–10: learn crouch-walking, sprint discipline, interact prompts, elevator return. Do not ignore reboarding timer. Buy cheap task-help starter and consumables after first few runs even if you wipe.

Floors 11–19: respect sound detection, split co-op roles loosely, prepare for Floor 20 Envy milestone. Avoid Sloth triggers by tasking every floor.

Core Systems Recap

Fear rises in darkness and entity proximity. Entities spawn on point budgets since v0.6.5 by map size. Black Market unlocks Floor 30 first clear. Daily Mode v0.6.8 offers one daily ranked attempt to Floor 20 boss.

Use wiki guides for depth: tier lists, entity MDL lookup, boss videos for Sloth and Mannequins, written Envy guide for Floor 20.

Next Steps
