Jack-O-Bomber Overview
Jack-O-Bomber is a dangerous seasonal rare entity introduced in the v0.6.6 Spooky Mini-Update. A purple pumpkin-headed rider mounted on a headless horse, wielding a sickle and firing explosive Jack-O-Bombs plus bouncing sawblades. Shares the dangerous entity popup with Apollyon, Bullseye, Channel, and The Dealer.
October seasonal influence allows spawns from Floor 5 during Halloween events. Outside October, Jack-O-Bomber typically appears from Floor 20 onward. Community nickname: "Jack."
Attack Patterns
At range Jack-O-Bomber screeches, pauses, then fires arcing Jack-O-Bombs dealing ~20 damage, ragdoll, fling, and stronger Bleed (2 HP per tick). Blast radius is deceptively large and damages through walls.
At close range Jack-O-Bomber fires three sawblades that bounce off walls. Direct hits deal 30 damage plus 15% slow and 3 HP per tick bleed over several seconds. Chase speed 28 exceeds Delver base run 23—immediate flee after spotting is mandatory.
Counterplay
Create distance instantly after the dangerous entity popup. Five-second ragdoll from Jack-O-Bombs gives Jack time to close—prevent direct hits and wall-splash damage. Speed consumables, invisibility items, and entity stuns enable survival during pursuit.
Granola Bar removes sawblade bleed and slow debuffs. Shrieker screams may aggro Jack-O-Bomber if nearby—silence Shriekers before Jack encounters on spooky floors. Phantom's Cloak and Vampiric Ring invisibility help but do not replace distance discipline.
